Clean and Simple Weddings

So the hubs and I are on our way to a wedding on the Big Island. I'm fairly sure this is our first wedding of the year. The flurry of weddings we seem to have been going to has died down a bit, which is kinda nice. Dont get me wrong, I like weddings, I just dont like being held hostage for hours at a time. I even thought my own twenty minute ceremony was a trifle bit too long. Sometimes I think I have the attention span of a gnat...or according to my teacher friend, an 8th grader in Math...

In any case, this is the card I made for the happy couple. Its based off a Clean and Simple Sketch. And I gotta say, this card was super easy peasy. No stamping involved. *gasp* I feel like I cheated. But I stamped "happily ever after" on the envelope. And I inked up the flowers myself. That's gotta count for something right? The paper flowers were daubered w/ brilliance starlight black and platinum planet and topped off w/ pearl stickers. I suppose I could've bought some prima flowers, but I have a ton of these plain white paper flowers that are just begging to be used. The DP is from Making Memories Wedding collection. I think they've got a new Wedding collection coming out, but this one I bought a few months ago then totally forgot that I had it.

So its off to the Big Island for me. Ironic really. We're leaving Seattle's 100-plus degree weather for cooler weather in Hawaii. What in the world is up with that???

Malfoy Misunderstood

Okay, so I know some people think of Draco Malfoy as the evil slimy slytherin git. Or the amazing bouncing ferret. But honestly, I think he's just misunderstood. Yes, you're understanding me correctly, I likes Draco Malfoy.

I mean come on, he single handedly saved Hermione Granger in book 4. At the Quidditch Cup. He warned them to keep her out of the Death Eaters sight. Granted he was acting like his normal slimy prat at the time, but read it again. You'll understand. Otherwise the Golden Trio would've just traipsed around completely clueless.

Those who really know me are rolling their eyes and muttering about how delusional I am. But enough about Draco and his hidden heroics. So I made a Malfoy card and decided to post it. Even though it will probably stay in my card stash for-ever because no one else I know hearts Malfoy like I do.

I got this idea from wickedpixie who did a Harry Potter card. I think if I had more time I'd adjust his eyebrows to make them archy like and tweak the mouth a bit b/c he just looks a bit too innocent. And the Malfoy we know, albeit very misunderstood, is still slightly an evil slimy slytherin git complete with archy eyebrows.

But I still love him.

Mojo Monday

I've been a little out of it lately and havent had any ideas for cards. That was until I saw this super awesome Mojo Monday Sketch.. I likes...

She's the partner of the Greeting Farm set, Hope and Grace. And I think she's just as adorable. Colored w/ copics of course, TGF stamps are fabulous for that. And paper is mostly from DCWV citrus stacks.
Laters, dude...

MFT Monday

Its too late to start a card, so I figured I'd just blog about one. This card is from one of my favoritest sets from My Favorite Things, Rain or Shine. Its an awesome stamp b/c her dress is super easy to paper piece. So I can incorporate all the tons of pretty paper I like to hoard. I used my copic marker to color the paper flower to match the rest of the card (b/c sometimes I like to be matchy matchy like that). And I used the ribbon wrapping button technique from Susan's Interview with a Button.

Card Recipe:
Stamps: MFT Rain or Shine
Paper: DCWV Spring Glitter Stack & SU!
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black & Copics
Accessories: BG Button, paper flower & ribbon

TCP Tuesday...

Its TCP Tuesday on Saturday.

My card today was based off of Toni's inspirational photo of some delish and pretty cocktails. Poochie is on his way to Happy Hour after a very long week of work...and he just cant get there fast enough.
