Twinkle Twinkle Little SFYTT

Can I just say, it is very hard to get a good picture of a card with PTI's lemon tart. Its probably my camera but I was getting terrible images. Hence the black background. It seemed to give the best true color picture.

I used Jen del Muro's SFYTT for the layout. I found some pretty blue pattern paper in some Memory Box winter pack. I also used some sparkley blue paper & ran it through my bug using swiss dots. The sentiment is a Verve Plain Jane Little Star. I think its such a cute sentiment.

The Dets:
Stamps: Verve Little Star
Paper: MB snow paper pack, Stardream malachite, PTI lemon tart
Ink: Versafine black, spica glitter
Accessories: PTI lemon tart ribbon, kaiser jewels, cuttlebug swiss dots

Peace Out

So this is one of the belated projects of my CD ("Craft Day") with Nina. Typically our CD's have ranged from super productive to just eating lots and watching the latest coolest TV show (which has included Firefly, Criminal Minds, NCIS, HIMYM...). And if we're being completely honest, this CD wasnt too productive.

But I got to use her super groovy HG Peace. I finally found a stamp to match my BG Lime Rickey. I've had problems using that paper pack. But HG's free spirit just begged for the psychedelic paper. I used some gold smooch on the flowers & part of her shirt. Then I edged the border with a multiliner pen and added some prima flowers.

The Dets:
Stamps: TGF HG Peace, Verve Bountiful Backgrounds
Paper: MB notecard, BG Lime Rickey
Ink: Copics, Memento Black, Versafine Black
Accessories: PTI pure poppy button, prima flowers, krafters floss

Baby Boy Gift Card

The hub's bro is having a baby! Well, his wife is having the baby. But you know what I mean. Since they're having a boy, I had to dig really deep into my dp paper stack and unearth some blue paper under all that pink.

I broke out my 2 scoops rice Garden Fairies set. The current 2 scoops challenge was to alter something. So I figured a gift card holder would be perfect. (We also couldnt really find them a gift since they didnt register for much to begin with....)

I used the generic gift card holder that I've seen at my LSS and floating around the internet. I stamped my lil' fairy boy and sponged the edges w/ momento summer sky. I really like the other fairies in the set, but this one seemed more unisex. And...it looks like I forgot to glitterfy the wings. Doh! Oh well, I guess it is supposed to be a "boy themed" gift card. And the hubs thinks glitters a bit girlie.

The inside I stamped w/ my brand spankin' new PTI Tin Types Background and the sentiment's Verve.

I really need to add that I did not pick out the gift card. That was all the boy for you. I would've gone for the softer, cuter baby gift card. But noooo...it had to be the dinosaur.

The Dets:
Stamps: 2 scoops rice Garden Fairies, PTI Tin Types Background, Verve Practically Perfect
Paper: PTI spring moss, MB pastel collection
Ink: Memento black & summer sky, copics
Accessories: ribbon

No Can See

I stamped my PTI Turning a New Leaf on the red panel of this card. Can you see it? Cause I cant. But I promise it was on it. I think it might have disappeared. Magic maybe?

Anyway, this is my new MFT Pure Innocence Heart Stripes. I showed it to my honey and he thinks she looks a little...weird. Pffftt...boys...I think she's adorable. Laters, cause I hear Ice Dancing calling my name.

The Dets:
Stamps: MFT Pure Innocence Heart Stripes, PTI Turning a new leaf
Paper: MB notecards, Cosmo Cricket earth pack
Ink: Memento black, copics, versamark
Accessories: PTI aqua mist, krafters floss, PTI button vintage cream

Fated Kiki

Sometimes everything just falls into place. I recently got the oval spellbinder set for Valentines Day. Then Mercy's Tuesday sketch features an oval. It seemed like fate.

So I inked my brand new Sweet Kiki la Rue on an oval nestie. I sponged the edges with some Memento Angel Pink. The dp is my new favorite from My Minds Eye, Be Loved. I just love the way Mercy's sketch made the best use of all those papers I love so much.

I colored Kiki with this week's Copic Color Challenge colors of light grey, cherry pink & lime green. Maybe another twist of fate that it matches my Be Loved paper. I outlined a few parts of her headband, dress and ice cream with my spica glitter pens.

The Dets:
Stamps: CC Designs Sweet Kiki la Rue
Paper: MB notecards, MME be loved
Ink: Memento black & angel pink, copics, spica glitter pen
Accessories: PTI aqua mist ribbon

Simply Gorjuss...Girl that is...

Why oh why does NBC insist on playing all the really good stuff so late at night? Dont they know that me screaming at the tv over Shaun White's halfpipe performance at 10:30pm is not conducive to going to bed at 10:45? And that's already 45 minutes after my bedtime...

Anyway, on to the card. I've had this Gorjuss Girl stamp for a really really really long time, but I've never inked her up. I dont know why. Oh maybe b/c someone *ahem* thought she was a little creepifying. But I think she's adorable and was soo fun to color.

This is currently my new favorite color scheme. I dont normally go for the "warm" tones but with this Cosmo Cricket paper, I think it works. I added a bit of glitter to the grey areas but I'm not too sure how well it turned out in the photo. I took out the birdie part of this stamp for two reasons, one, it wouldnt fit, and two, I'm deathly afraid of pigeons...really, I am.

The Dets:
Stamps: Sugar Nellie a little birdie told me, MB sentiment
Paper: SU!, MB mocha, Cosmo Cricket nutmeg paper pack
Ink: Memento black, copics
Accessories: glitter, ribbon, standard oval and scalloped nesties, swiss dots embossing folder

Miss Anya Dressy...*finally*

So I've been complaining and bemoaning to Nina about my difficulties with Miss Anya Dressy. Haha. Actually I've been doing alot of complaining...I think it started when I found out TJ's discontinued my beloved Tomato Chutney. Oh. My. God. No warning and I didnt even have time to stock up on like 27 jars. I dont think people quite understand how sad this is, I go through a jar like every two weeks. It was soo good...

But I digress.

I've been complaining b/c as much as I *love* Miss Anya Dressy, she's been the bane of my existence. I've tried multiple times to make a card with her, but just having found a color combo that I really like. Enter Pam's fabby dabby Wild Card Wednesday's challenge - paper piecing. I swear if had not been for her challenge, Miss Anya Dressy might still be sitting in my sad and discarded reject pile.

I colored her with my "other" blonde combo b/c my Y21 marker died on me. I paper pieced her dress with My Mind's Eye Be Loved paper. I know I'm a bit behind the curve, I think most people got this uber awesome dp months ago. But what can I say, I'm like the sheep that falls of the cliff hours after the other sheep have gone over.

Baaaaahhhh...(I think staying up late watching the Olympics has made me a bit batty...)

The Dets:
Stamps: TGF Miss Anya Dressy, Verve Thankful accents
Paper: MB Bayou, MME Be Loved
Ink: Copics, Memento black
Accessories: PTI aqua mist ribbon, paper piercer, nesties standard & scallop circles, kaiser pearls

Snuggly Hope

Nina and I are pretty sure she's the Hope in the TGF Hope & Grace duo. Grace seemed the bit more edgy of the two. Whereas Hope seemed sweet...and cuddly. Or something.

Or maybe it was the other way around?

Anyway, I used this past Friday's TESC sketch. It's the 100th sketch for the Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge. When I saw the sketch I new immediately that I wanted to ink up my new HG Snuggle. I found the dp paper at my LSS store and found it went very well with this week's Copic Challenge Colors of R29 (lipstick red), RV23 (pure pink) and B12 (ice blue).

I sponged the edges of the spellbinder circle with some Memento ink and stamped her in memento. And I even added some Doodlebug crushed velvet flock to make her bunny fluffy and snuggly. I was soo excited when I got it, showed my honey and he says, "You bought lint. Great."

Pffftt...What do boys know?

The Dets:
Stamps: TGF HG Snuggle, Verve Practically Perfect, PTI Polka Dot Basics I
Paper: MB notecards, MME dp, vellum
Ink: Memento black & angel pink, Versamagic pixie dust, copics

A Bellarific Valentines Day

Happy Valentines Day!

For my card today I used this week's Mojo Monday sketch, MOJO125. I stamped my Bella's shower Bugg on a standard circle nestie and sponged the border w/ Memento angel pink. I layered it w/ a scalloped circle. I used half of the largest circle to do the curved part of the DP layer. And I broke out my fancy square punch I got from my LSS to layer the sentiment (from TCP).

The Dets:
Stamps: Stamping Bella shower Bugg, TCP Puppy Love
Paper: MB sweetheart paper pack & notecards
Ink: Copics, Memento black, Spica pink glitter pen, Copic multiliner black
Accessories: standard & scalloped nesties, fancy square punch, PTI raspberry fizz ribbon

The Anti-Valentine

Okay so I dont know how anti a valentine can be if it's got hearts in it. But anti sounded better than non-trad.

This week's Monday Mania Challenge on Club Anya was to do a Vday card using no pink or red. Thus eliminating all my vday dp paper. So I decided to use a bit of kraft heart background from the Verve card I did earlier this week. And what better non-traditional, TGF-themed vday card would be better than an Edward-centric one.

I didnt feel like using any sappy If I could dream it'd be about you sentiment, b/c lets face it, its just not me. But this Kryptonite quote, perfect. I had to handwrite it b/c I was too lazy to get it printed properly. One day maybe I will actually use my printer for something other than printing airline boarding passes. One day...

The Dets:
Stamps: TGF Edward, Verve Sweet Valentines
Paper: SU!, MB notecard, PTI kraft
Ink: Memento black, Spica glitter, Copics
Accessories: MS punch, ribbon

Swissy Wednesday

This is not a valentines day card. Actually I'm not quite sure what occasion this card is for, I just dug the color scheme.

I tried the white gen pen technique that I've seen on other blogs...but I think I still need to practice. I ran the green panel through my bug using Spots & Dots. And the image is my brand spankin' new Birgitta. I picked it up when I was home this past January. I also picked up a few others but sadly I had to relinquish them to Nina. Who asked me to pick them up for her but really that's besides the point.

The Dets:
Stamps: CC Designs Birgitta Swiss Pixie
Paper: MB notecards, SU!
Ink: Memento black, copics
Accessories: cricut storybook, cuttlebug spots & dots, kaiser pearls, ribbon

A Taylored Valentines

So continues the valentine's parade of cards.

I've been eagerly awaiting the return of Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge after the two week hiatus. I dont always participate but I do love looking. The DT-ers make such fabby dabby cards.

So I inked up my newish TCP Puppy Love set. I used my spellbinders to line up one circle for the rocket and another to nestle it in the rectangle panel. I went over the rocked with a clear spica glitter pen but it didnt photograph at all. I did go with the classical colors of pinks for the card. But I should have at least one more with a non-trad color scheme.

The Dets:
Stamps: TCP Puppy Love
Paper: MB notecards & sweetheart paper pack
Ink: Copics, Memento black, spica glitter pen
Accessories: PTI ribbon

A late mojo monday

I finished this card before the big game yesterday but had to leave for a friend's house. So I didnt have a chance to post this last night in time for the Mojo Monday deadline.

Anyway I went with a nontraditional teal, kraft and black color scheme for this valentines card. I inked up my Verve Sweet Valentine and broke out my new MS punch. I also went over all the hearts w/ a clear spica glitter pen, but it doesnt really come up in the pictures.

The Dets:
Stamps: Verve Sweet Valentine, PTI Polka Dot Basics
Ink: Copics, Versamark, Spica clear glitter pen, Memento black
Paper: SU!, MB notecard, PTI kraft & black
Accessories: BG button, MS punch, prima flowers, krafters floss

Quickie PTI Challenge Post

Tonight's going to be a real quickie post b/c the hubs said it was time for bed.

Nichole Heady, who is just a genius, posted a challenge to use emboss resist on a card. I've been avidly, read obsessively, watching her blog for the past few days as its a countdown to PTI's third anniversary. I'm so excited that I got a chance to play along. I inked up my Turning a new leaf set, which in my opinion is just perfect for this technique.

My camera was being finicky though. My pictures either didnt represent the true colors well or they did but there was too much of a glare that you couldnt see through the embossed areas. Oh well...maybe next time.

The Dets:
Stamps: PTI's Polka Dot Basics, Turning a new leaf, Text Style Backgrounds
Paper: MB, PTI kraft & pure poppy, neenah white
Ink: Memento, Versamark
Accessories: kaiser jewels, ribbon, MS punch
