Curly Hair Experiment

If you've been trolling the blogs then you must have come across the Color Me Copic blog. Its run by five rockin' color-ers (in my opinion). The only bad thing about the blog is that it's inspired me to add all kinds of copics colors to my "wish" list (as if that wasnt long enough already...). But it's full of all kinds of useful reference information and, as of late, super cool techniques. The lastest one is Amy's Curly Hair tutorial. It was so neat looking that I just had to try.

I dont have too many curly haired stamps (probably a reason for that - they're hard to color). But I did have this Sweet November Darby stamp, which I've only inked up once. I went w/ red hair, but I think I need try this curly hair "squiggle" thing a few more times. I used this week's SFYTT, though it was alot of rearranging of layers before I decided to go w/ the landscape orientation.

The Dets:
Stamps:
CC Designs Sweet November Darby, MFT Flopsey Birthday sentiment
Paper: PTI dark chocolate & ripe avocado, Cosmo Cricket nutmeg
Ink: Brilliance pearlescent chocolate, Memento black, Copics
Accessories: polka dot embossing folder, felt, kaiser jewels, MFT open scallop border, spellbinders circles, PTI butterfly die
